The Business Administration Scale (BAS) is an administration tool for measuring the overall quality of business and professional practices in family child care settings. This workshop will provide an overview   of the tool and will focus on the financial practices, such as Fiscal Management and Recordkeeping. 

Participants will learn how to use the tool to assess quality of current practices and learn how to take action toward positive change.

Overview of Ages and Stages Questionnaire

These trainings will help you learn how to use the ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2, two parent completed developmental screening tools, to identify a child's developmental strengths and needs during the crucial first five years of life.

Training Objectives:

  • Understand why this simple screening is important for children ages 0-5 years.
  • Become familiar with how to use the ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2, including how to administer, score, interpret and make referral decisions based on the results.
  • Learn to respectfully and effectively communicate with parents about screening and follow up; support parents to complete the ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2
