Welcome to 4C's of Alameda County!

As a private, non-profit organization since 1972, we are part of the California Child Care Resource and Referral Network of agencies dedicated to children and families in their communities.

4C's is the state-designated Resource and Referral agency for southern Alameda County and your one-stop resource to finding quality and affordable child care. We also assist child care professionals to develop healthy, safe, and nurturing environments that are both educational and fun. Our vision is to be recognized as a model for providing exemplary services to our diverse community of children, families, and child care professionals.

4C's multicultural staff and volunteers are committed to proactive and innovative services supporting our mission to develop and coordinate resources to strengthen families and children. Our resource and referral services are free to all parents, regardless of income.

Our programs made a difference in 2009:

• 171 trainings were presented about art, healthy food choices and business of child care to 3078 parents & providers by our Resource and Referral Department

• 2,546 families received child care payment assistance for 4,322 children

• 37,319 months of child care were provided for children of families enrolled in our child care payment programs

• 1,824,000 nutritious meals were served to 3,300 children

We are particularly proud of our partnership with Kaiser Permanente Greater Southern Alameda Area to train child care providers and assist parents in asthma prevention and management. While we contract with state and local agencies to administer child care programs, we are dependent on your generosity to continue and expand the high-quality services in our county.
