Provider Training and Workshops

Take advantage of our free and low-cost training and workshops in English, Spanish, and Chinese. You can gain tools for operating your child care program successfully as a small business, and learn how to work with children from diverse backgrounds, care for infants, serve children with special needs, develop educational activities, provide care for children with asthma, and much, much more. If you have specific questions, you can contact our Training Coordinator at 510.582.2182. How to Register Preregistration is required for some workshops and highly recommended for all others. If we close or cancel a workshop, we will make every effort to notify those who are registered. If you need any accommodations to participate fully in a 4C’s workshop, please make arrangements in advance with our Inclusion Services Coordination at 510.582.2182. Special Requests We strive to provide a fragrance-free training environment, because some people experience unpleasant physical effects from scented products, from itchy eyes to headache and nausea to breathing difficulties or asthma attacks. Our workshops are now “fragrance free” so please do not wear perfumes, scented lotions or other products. Unless child care is specifically mentioned in the announcement, workshops are for adult participants only. Please leave children at home or find alternate care. If you are a breastfeeding mother, let us know when you register and we can make special arrangements.
